Why Cut Blindfolded?

I have always been known to have consistency with my cutting. When I try a new type of cut, I always try to include speed, but most importantly consistency. Those that cook understand that having consistent cuts allow each ingredient to cook evenly and also showcase a professional looking, well put together dish.

After cutting many dumpling wrappers into 1/16” strips during my 8 year culinary journey, I decided to do it blindfolded on camera.
This was inspired by @w2sixpackchef, Wallace Wong, who coincidentally has the same initials as me, WW (that’s where the W2 comes from).
He currently holds a Guinness World Record for cutting a cucumber into 166 slices in 30 seconds… BLINDFOLDED.

When I saw that video, I told myself… “One day I’ll beat his record”.

Maybe with more practice on camera I can make that attempt in the future, fingers crossed!

Don’t throw away the dumpling strips! You can deep fry them to incorporate into your dishes or even as garnish!

Here are some recipes of mine for example, Spot Prawn Donburi, Beef Bulgogi Mountain, Chicken Lettuce Wraps

P.S. I did not end up cutting my dog. I love him very much, and he is alive and well.
